02I am fascinated by art, and find oil paintings particularly remarkable. When I bought my first paintings I was so happy, and that happiness returned every day when I walked in the door and saw them. The re-creation of natural beauty and the ability to see places we want to go hanging on our walls is an amazing blessing.

I love to create beautiful art to inspire myself, and others, that will endure the test of time. I am drawn to painting landscapes, the elements of earth and water, architecture, design, and gardens. I get many ideas from photographs of places I want to go. When a piece turns out well, I have accomplished what I set out to do, after being surprised and learning something new in the process.

Since moving back to Austin, TX, from Washington, D.C., I have studied oil painting at the Austin Museum of Art, studied privately under Philip Wade, and done ‘En Plein Air’ sketching with the Artist in Residence program at the Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM.
